Monuments and Parks

The most popular destinations in our area are Mt. Rushmore National Monument and Crazy Horse Memorial. You can see Buffalo at Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park. All of these destinations and many more are within half an hour to an hour driving distance from our house. If you are going to Badlands National Park or to Devils Tower Nationsl Monument in Wyoming, your drive is about two hours. Ask us about scenic routes to take!

Hiking, Biking and Skiing

There are extended hiking and biking trails, such as the Mickelson Trail and the Centennial Trail. Bicycle rental and shuttle services are offered at different locations. Hiking to Harney Peak, the highest point in the US East of the Rockies, is a popular activity. Near our B&B there are many trails on which you can take your ATV. There are places nearby where you can rent ATVs.

If you're looking to hit the slopes in the winter, it's just a forty-five minute drive to Deer Mountain and Terry Peak ski resorts. Also near that area are many groomed cross country ski trails and snowmobile trails.

Sheridan Lake

Boat, Swim or Fish our Waters

We are just two miles from Pactola Lake and four miles from Sheridan lake. Both are excellent for spending a day at the beach or on the lake swimming, boating, or fishing. Both lake marinas offer pontoon and kayak rentals. The cool waters of Rapid Creek are also just two miles from us and are popular for fly fishing.
